Baby Hill and I are doing great and the pregnancy is "moving right along"! I had to go to the doctor on Monday for my glucose test, and the doctor said all measurements look just fine and everything seems to be right on track. I don't know the results of my test yet, but hopefully everything is fine and I don't have to stop eating my Fudge Ripple ice cream. I've gained 13 pounds so far (thanks to that mentioned ice cream!), so for all of you who keep saying I need to gain weight...I am! The baby's heartbeat was very strong, and seemed to be a little faster than normal but considering I had to drink that whole nasty bottle of sugar, I'm sure he was pretty hyped up.
Baby Hill is becoming very active, and is definitely growing because his kicks are starting to get uncomfortably close to my ribs. Ben gets aggravated with me because I'm always poking or pushing on the baby, but he just doesn't understand that those little hands and feet hurt if they hit the wrong spot! I'm also beginning to realize what foods Baby Hill likes, and what foods he doesn't. Right now he just loves for me to eat watermelon, and if he's ever having a lazy day where he's not moving much, I just grab some watermelon and he wakes right up.
Russell is starting to get very excited about his baby brother. On Saturday we bought Russell his "big boy" bed, and now he's all excited because he sleeps on the top bunk (it's a loft bed) and the crib is underneath that. I don't know how excited he'll be when he hears that first cry at 2:00 in the morning, but we're going to give it a try. Russell is going to be the best big brother ever. He already loves his baby brother very much, and each night he wants to give him a goodnight kiss. We even have to figure out where the baby's mouth is so that Russell can give him a "good" kiss! I just hope this brotherly love continues! :)
I go back to the doctor in another 4 weeks, at which point I'll be 28 weeks. It is crazy to think that I'm over half way there! It seems like just a few days ago I was telling everyone about my exciting "Christmas present"! I'll keep you all posted on any changes, and especially fill you in as the countdown gets a little closer!
