We're Back!!

Ben and I (and Baby Hill) are back from vacation, and either the baby had a BIG growth spurt or I ate way too much on our cruise! By the time it was over, I already couldn't fit into 1 pair of shorts and I could barely get one of my dresses zipped, and 2 weeks ago all that stuff fit!! I started to be able to really feel the baby move while we were gone, so that made the trip even more exciting. It seemed that the baby was pretty active around mid-day, but sometimes it was earlier or later. I guess it just depended on whatever mood he/she was in. The baby got to do lots of fun and exciting stuff. Blob went swimming with sting rays, deep sea fishing, snorkeling, and even got to do a dolphin encounter! This is one lucky little baby to be so young and to have already been a part of all this stuff!
I think he/she will either be a race car driver or a very aggressive driver at the least when they grow up. On the way home when Ben was driving like he normally does (those of you who know him know what I'm talking about) the baby was just rolling and flipping all over the place. I told Ben he was making the baby mad, but I really think the baby was having a great time! :) I'm still standing behind the idea that I'll have a very picky eater on my hands. The only thing I really wanted to eat while were gone was fruit. I couldn't get enough fruit. And most any time that I tried to eat something different, it didn't sit very well with my stomach...So I guess we'll be having to buy even more boxes of chicken nuggets, grapes, and apples for the Hill House! Although our trip was fun, it's good to be home. Now I get to work on getting Russell's room situated so that he and the new baby will both fit. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how to make 2 kids fit into one room, please let us know!! I'll keep you all posted on what's going on!!

Finally it's what you've all been waiting for. Everyone, we would like for you to meet The Blob! :) It's not the best picture in the world, but that's what you get when you take a picture of an unborn baby at 8 weeks. If you look really close, you can kind of see the solid spot (closer to the middle-right side of the blob) which is the heart. More pictures will follow, but this is all you get for now.
I went to the doctor yesterday (3-3-08) for my check up, and everything seems to still be going well. The heartbeat was very strong; much louder than it was the last time. I guess that means the baby is growing. It took us a minute to find the heartbeat (felt like an eternity!) so I think I'm going to have another baby who doesn't like doctors. When I was pregnant with Russell he would always kick the monitor thing, and now this one seems to want to hide from it! Great!!
We go back to the doctor on April 7th to find out what we're having. I'm throwing around the idea of Ben and I finding out and then not telling anyone...What do you all think? :) We'll just have to wait and see what mood strikes me that day I guess. Hope you all are doing well and I hope this is helping to keep you all updated on what's going on with the new addition. Take care and we'll check back soon!!

Love,
The Hills
